The Unknown Prophets are a hip-hop duo from Minneapolis which consists of, Mad Son and Big Jess. Quietly rising through the Minneapolis underground, Unknown Prophets released their hit single in 2000 titled, Never, which featured the legendary artist, Slug (Atmosphere). They later released their debut album, World Premier, which featured artists such as Slug, Brother Ali, and DJ Abilities. Since then they have released 3 albums, and one EP. Their latest album was released in 2009 titled, Le System D. Unknown prophets are an amazing group. Not only do they have skills and passion, but they stay true to themselves and their music. Jess was quoted as saying, "We do not write about a life we do not live, so our music tends to be some grown man shit". They do not rap about guns, money, and women because thats not their life. They are not posers who just want the fame. They do what they love, which is make great hip-hop music. Enjoy!
