Free Palestine
Shortly after the second world war, the new state of Israel was created. Since Israel's creation, thousands of innocent Palestinians and Israelis have lost their lives. The violence that has plagued the region is a continuous cyclone that continues to destroy all in it's path. Palestinians are fighting for their freedom, as their human rights are being denied, homes bulldozed, family members killed and illegal Israeli settlements continue to pop up all over. These systematic actions carried out by the Israeli government and military are slowly tightening the grip on Palestine and Israel keeps expanding.
I have read and heard many unkind, racist things about Jews while researching the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and I believe this type of hate is just another factor in the continuous cycle of conflict. I am of the opinion that it is ignorant and wrong to say that the Jewish faith and it's followers are the reason for this problem. Many Israelis have also been effected in this conflict and many Rabbis are actually against Zionism, the idea that Jews shall return to their homeland and have divine right to be there. There are also many Israelis and Jews all over the world who speak out against the terrible, cruel actions of the Israeli government and military. Like many problems, the true causes are sometimes masked by illusions. Yes, Palestine is occupied by Israel but what are the true causes and motives? When one sifts through everything regarding the conflict it appears that this sense of Nepotism, sense of superiority, divine right and lies are the true underlying causes. Media lies labeling Palestinians as terrorists, as inferior peoples and painting the Israeli government and military as victims, giving them the right to carry out killings, fuel the propaganda machine dehumanizing Palestinians. This tactic is not new and has been used in many, many wars to make a group of people be viewed as inferior peoples and thus "easier to kill".
The only way for Palestinian freedom and to truly end this conflict is love and to end hate. Each side has a hate for each other, which fuels the cycle of violence. I cannot begin to put my shoes in the life of a Palestinian who lives in constant fear and in an neo-apartheid state, so I know for me it is easy to simply say, love and end hate. If one saw their family killed at the hands of another group of people, hatred would perhaps grow inside this person for this group. Love is truly the only way to end conflicts because as history has shown us, violence comes in cycles.
People of the global community must be educated about the conflict, the true history, the causes of the violence and help others learn. One must research for themselves about this conflict and every other conflict in the world. Only through knowledge and understanding can a conflict be resolved. We have been told, "one more bomb, one more war and one more airstrike for peace". Well, where is the peace, where is the love? How can the world sit back and watch other humans suffer? World powers just seem to intervene in conflicts giving the illusion of wanting to help and promote peace, when the true reasons are the governments wanting to protect their investments and gain control and power in the country and or region. This isn't just about being Pro-Palestine, this is about being pro-human life and pro-love.
"How can a nation, that knows what its like to be slaughtered go and do the same to someone else?"
